All Parents and Students must read and abide by all policies associated with being a registered student of Ballet 180 / Studio 180. Students will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis with Registration Form complete including Consent Signature and Registration Fee paid in full. By signing our registration form, Ballet 180 / Studio 180 students are agreeing to the following waiver/release:
Current Ballet 180 students agree to release and hold harmless Studio 180, LLC, it’s directors, employees, instructors, guest instructors and volunteers from any and all claims, causes of action, suits or liability, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of, or in connection with, any loss, personal injury, death, or other damage that I may incur or suffer by reason or as a result of my enrollment or participation in classes, events, performances, and private lessons with Studio 180, LLC. Studio 180 students assume the risk associated with dancing and choreography and all over events and programs and performances sponsored by Studio 180, LLC. In an emergency, Studio 180, LLC is authorized to contact the emergency contact on file and to take such temporary measures as Studio 180, LLC deems appropriate. Studio 180, LLC has permission to take photographs and/or videos of its students that will become permanent/sole property of Studio 180, LLC. and the student gives consent to use these materials for promotional purposes. Students must pay any and all fees associated with the collection of any outstanding balances on their accounts. All tuition payments are nonrefundable and non-transferable.
If you so choose, you/your child may attend a make-up class whenever he/she misses class due to illness, outside appointments, etc. Make-up classes may be taken in any other class of his/her level or a class level below. No formal notification of make-up classes is necessary, however the student should inform the teacher of the make-up class at the start of class. It is the responsibility of each family to keep track of classes missed if they so choose. Make-up classes may be taken before or after the missed class. No deductions in tuition will be made for classes missed for any reason. All make-up classes must be taken within the same trimester in which they were missed.
Students may participate in performances ONLY if account balances are paid in full at the start of rehearsals.
GROUNDS FOR DISMISSAL
Every student is expected to behave in a disciplined, responsible and courteous manner when on school grounds, dress appropriately and neatly for class, and arrive on time for class. Studio 180 reserves the right to dismiss any student from the school who does not abide by school policy or who is in any way construed to be negligent, disrespectful of the teachers, or detrimental to the training of others, or who gives cause for any other concern. Parents/Guardians will also respect the rules of Studio 180 and abide by driving slowly and cautiously around the building, parking only in designated parking spaces, and refraining from any aggressive behavior towards Studio 180 faculty members. If a problem arises, immediate notification to the school director should be reported.
In the event of snow or inclement weather, we will post notification on our website about closings. These decisions are made for the safety of our students and teachers. Students are entitled to a make-up class on another day in the same level or lower level class within one week of the missed class. No deductions of tuition may be made for inclement weather.
Students are expected to arrive for class at least 10-minutes early to properly stretch and prepare for class. If your child attends the last class of the evening; please arrive early to pick up your child so the school may close as scheduled. If an emergency occurs hindering timely pick up, please notify the office. Please be aware that the exit from the rear parking lot is a one-way street. Use caution when exiting the parking lot, as dancers may be traveling in and out of the studio door.
FOOD & BEVERAGES
Food and drink are not allowed in the studios. Water bottles are allowed for hydration.
LOST & FOUND
The school is not responsible for your personal belongings, valuables, or any items left in the dressing areas. Items left over one week will be discarded.

How do I register for classes?
To register, please print out and complete our Registration Form and return it to the office in one of three ways:
1) Drop off your completed form along with tuition and registration fee in our mailbox which is located next to our front door. The mailbox is locked, secure, and checked frequently.
2) Mail in your completed form along with tuition and registration fee to 1708 Lancaster Avenue, FL 2, Paoli, Pa 19301.
3) Bring your registration form and tuition to the studio during our open hours. The studio is open during class time, so please see our class schedule to find out when we are open.
What methods of payments do you accept?
Check is preferred, but we also accept cash and credit card. A 3% service fee will be applied to credit card payments.
Who do I make my check out to?
Do I need to pre-register for classes?
Class space is limited, therefore we suggest that you reserve class space before classes begin.
Where are you located and where do I park?
We are located at 1708 Lancaster Avenue, Floor 2, Paoli. We are on Route 30 in the same complex as UPS and the Hot Tub store. Parking is available along the sides and the back of the lot. Our location makes our dance studio easily accessible from areas such as Malvern, West Chester, Wayne, Devon, Berwyn, Newtown Square, Media, Exton, Phoenixville, and Philadelphia.
What types of performance opportunities do you offer?
Performance is an important aspect of the training of a professional dancer. All of our school students are invited to perform in our annual showcase. We also host auditions for serious dancers age 8-18 with an interest in performing. These dancers perform alongside the professional dancers of Ballet 180.
How do I schedule a tour of the studio?

How many students are in the class?
To ensure quality of instruction and learning experience, classes are limited to a maximum of 10 to 12 students.
Do I need to buy special dance shoes/uniform?
Yes. Dance class involves physical activity and we must ensure comfort and safety of the student. Uniform information can be found next to each class description.
Where do I buy dance attire?
To ensure proper fit and attire, we recommend that you purchase your dance supplies from a dance distributor. Below is a list of suppliers we recommend:

Can I try a class out first to see if I like it?
You are welcome to try a class first by paying the drop-in rate, but we do recommend registering for classes in advance so that you can be sure to secure a spot in class.
What is the age range for classes?
Class age groups are structured in a specific way to align curriculum with children’s abilities. Our pre-dance students are able to start as early as age 3 and we offer classes from that age through adult. For students ages 2-3, we can offer a Mommy and Me class as preparation for pre-dance. If you are interested in signing your child up for Mommy & Me, please send us a message through our contact form and list days/times you are available.
Can parents be present during the class?
We will be offering observation classes during the school year and all students are also invited to perform in front of an audience at our end of the year showcase.
My child occasionally wears diapers. Is it OK to attend class with a diaper on?
Yes, but please let us know so that we can respond appropriately as your child potty trains. We also ask that parents have their child use the restroom before class.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes. To schedule private lessons, send us a message through our contact form and mention your availability, which instructor you would like to work with, and what you would like to focus on during class time. Private lessons are $65/hour and must be paid in advance of the lesson. We are happy to schedule a private lesson during any of the open and available slots on our class schedule.
What happens when a class is canceled?
If class is cancelled due to weather, we post an update on the homepage of our website (www.ballet180.org) and on our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
I missed the registration, can I start the semester late?
New students are welcome to join at any point throughout the year and will be charged a pro-rated amount based upon the date at which they began class. Dancers must register by October 1 to be in our Holiday Performance and by February 1 to be in our Spring Showcase.
What special events do you have and how will I know when they are?

Which Ballet technique do you teach?
We are proud to include the American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9 level program that combines high-quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.
Our child has never taken dance before. What would you recommend to start with?
Ballet is the foundation of most dance styles, and is therefore the best place to begin.
